Treatment of Problematic Sexualised Behaviours
I provide support for individuals who have engaged, or may be at risk of engaging, in problematic or unwanted sexual behaviour. This includes behaviours directed towards both adults and children, whether or not the behaviour has resulted in criminal charges.
Therapy focuses on understanding the personal, psychological, and situational factors that contribute to harmful or inappropriate sexual behaviour, and on developing the insight and skills necessary to prevent re-occurrence. Treatment is guided by evidence-based, offence-specific approaches that promote personal responsibility, empathy, and safe, respectful relationships.
Intervention may address:
Sexual behaviours that are coercive, non-consensual, or exploitative
Online sexual behaviours, including the viewing or sharing of child exploitation material
Boundary violations, compulsive sexual behaviour, or persistent inappropriate sexualised conduct
Clients may self-refer for treatment, or may be referred through the court or legal representatives as part of a therapeutic or rehabilitative process. Treatment completion reports can be provided to referrers, legal representatives, or the court upon request.
